Research Findings
ReVanced Extended (RVX) discontinued Dec 31, 2025. Morphe is the successor (by former ReVanced/RVX contributors, endorsed by inotia00). Morphe patches YouTube app on-device (ad blocking, SponsorBlock, Return Dislikes). Plugin-based, more resilient than ReVanced. Requires specific YouTube version, breaks on updates until patches catch up. Grayjay uses Lua plugin system — update plugin not whole app when API changes. Easy migration from NewPipe (JSON export/import).
